kayaks on Sunday September 9 or Sunday September 16.
The store will still be open for sales of kayaks and canoes from 8am until 3pm
You can rent a kayak for only $29.00 per day on the Peconic Bay.
(Or, just $16.00 for 2 hours!) No experience is necessary.
Free basic "Get You Started" instructions are provided.

Kayaking on The Peconic Bay
S
tart your trip on the Peconic River and go east about 1 mile to the Bay. You may take a side trip thru the bird sanctuary on the right 100 yards before the Route 105 bridge.A mile past the bridge on your right is Iron Point, a long white sandy beach - great for sunning, snorkeling and swimming. On your left is Indian Island County Park with a beautiful beach and creeks and coves to explore.
If you want to get in a full day of hard paddling a good turn-around point is Red Cedar Point or South Jamesport.
Canoe The Peconic River
A relaxed and relaxing eight mile
canoe trip on the Peconic River takes about 4 hours as you paddle through beautiful woods,
part of the Long Island Pine Barrens.

One Hour Canoe Trip Upstream ...............13.00
Two Hour Canoe Trip Upstream .............. 21.00
(rate includes 2 persons in canoe)
Schedule for 8 mile canoe trip:
Mon, Wed, Thur, Fri: 8:00 am, 10:00 am, noon.
Sat & Sun: every 1/2 hour from 8:00 am until Noon.
Tuesdays CLOSED.
Canoes must be in by 5:00pm
